Cape Town Fashion Week 2019: Day Two Outfit of the Day

African Fashion International (AFI), the official South African Fashion Week organizer, continued its Pan-African #IAMAfrica themed mission to reintroduce more urban interactive fashion, film, beauty, and art, opportunities, with Day 2 of Cape Town Fashion Week.

#XAFI is classed as an experience for the books – hours spent setting up designer installations, beauty industry pros offering their insights into opening the industry more, runway showcases of urban designers, and art conceptualized & made right before attendees eyes.

There are also the clinically beautiful spaces available to capture impromptu shots within – one of the necessities for any attendee with an Instagram handle.

Today’s outfit is continuing my slow-burn into the penultimate fashion week runway nights.

I’m of the generation that hydrates. We care for our skin, and it blesses us with all of that #blackgirlmagic glow.

My list of Fashion Week essentials is coming up soon, but just know that the one thing keeping me this flawlessly glowing, is the MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime hydration mist. I whip it out anytime I’m feeling cakey and dry.

My feet need cushioning and calm on their off-days from heels, espeically for a big woman such as I – which is where my trusty PUMA comes in.

Today I’m wearing one of my favorites from my collection: suede PUMA New York ‘Breakdance Cities’ sneakers, complete with the vibrant New York Mets colorway.

…but feet and face, are not the only thing required to complete my look.

My rich marmalade orange handbag, which I’ve toted from New York to Paris, is Colette by Colette Hayman – well matched with my gorgeous double lens merigold sunglasses.

I always emphasize that its not about labels, its about style. I’m rocking burnt orange palazzo pants from Zara, and a gold satin off the shoulder top, from Mr. Price. Both bear polarizing price points, but look seamlessly elegant together.

So what do we think of the look at the very least?

Stay tuned for more #AFICTFW looks…
