Outfit of the Day: The Forgotten Caper at Freehand LA

I said a while ago, that I had enough memories of LA to keep my blog plentiful in content – and I was not joking!

Among the scores of treasured dining escapades, stolen wanderlust moments, and cinematic adventures, was the time I got to spend getting acquainted with the fine fashion available in California.

Regional Public Relations heavyweight Media Playground PR, was instrumental in getting me out and about in style.

It was, truthfully, an incredibly rewarding experience to venture fashionably, about Downtown LA – which isn’t as shady as you’re picturing!

The cocktail experiences & deals around this city are nuts, so I headed to Freehand LA Hotel for a drink and a view.

This was a really good decision considering the hotel has a fun, picturesque rooftop (rated one of the best cocktail bars in the city) that customers can enjoy.

The Look

If you’re wondering what I rocked, it was a neoprene dress in a defined classic silhouette, by LA-based Korean brand I’M BTFL.

The classy black dress’s contemporary twist, is marked only by the buttons trailing down the front, and the would-be collar – should one leave a few buttons at the neck, undone.

Matched with the I’M BTFL black dress, is a soft-to-the-touch neoprene cape in white, of the same designer, Jin Park.

I also decided on Metallic Rose Gold block heels, by Madison Heart of NY – which I promptly did away with when I saw the Freehand Hotel‘s rooftop pool situation, which called to me.

Don’t think I was dressed up too much at this rooftop, because people came up from their DTLA offices in droves, for Happy Hour…it helps that this I’M BTFL look is adaptable.

Hair & Beauty

The only beauty secret to share from today’s look, is MAC Cosmetics for the dewy fuax-naturale look.

I generously used:

  • MAC Prep + Prime fix Goldlite Shimmer
  • MAC Burgundy x9 Eyeshadow Palette
  • MAC Mineralize Skin Finish
  • MAC Metallic Gold Lip Color
