Yeah, I have a problem.
Bagels are seriously addictive guys!

I have bagels atleast thrice a week, thanks to living quite close to my cities greatest bagel spot – New York Bagels. There may be bias on my end, because the New York City name alone evokes feelings of excitement and pleasure from me from journeys passed, but NY Bagels genuinely makes some of the most scrumptious bagels you’ll ever feast on.
There is always Kleinsky’s and Max Bagels too however, if I’m feeling adventurous.
The most intriguing bagel I had yet to be brave enough to try (but eventually did), is Max Bagels Turkey rendition – smoked turkey breast, rocket, brie, house made may, and…cranberry? Yep! All this on an ‘everything bagel’, which made for a delightful breakfast for the senses.
I usually take New York Bagels up on their weekly (Sunday) special, which offers an assortment of their bagels + a schmear of your choice, for an absolute steal!

If I have leftover frozen bagels left, I usually whip up an imitation of the British Bacon Butty – a sandwich made with a precise formula, and laden with ingredients like bacon and butter.
Anytime you see fruit in one of my lifestyle shots, assume I’m trying to undo 27 years of fatty entanglement. I do appreciate the fresh seasonal fruits I get neatly packaged from Woolworths though. They are never foremost in my mind when shopping however – that’s space for carbs, fats, and clothing.
Anyway, for this weekend, I am re-watching the relatively still new Netflix original film release The Old Guard, starring Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Van Veronica Ngo and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The movie makes for nice watching, for an action superhero flick…but we’re mostly here for the love story between immortals Joe (Marwan Kenzari) and Nicky (Luca Marinelli).
“This man is more to me than you can dream. He is the moon when I am trapped in darkness and warmth when I’m shivering cold and his kiss still thrills me even after a millennial. His heart overflows with a kindness this world is not worthy of, I love this man beyond measure and reason. He is not my boyfriend. He is more.”
